An important aspect of the project overall is to use primary and secondary sources, along with oral history interviews to compile well-documented organizational histories of Latino CDCs. Since we are in San Antonio and the founding leadership of the Mexican American Unity Council (MAUC) received degrees from St. Mary’s University, we decided to begin with this organization. Other profiles are written by St. Mary’s Public History graduate students in Dr. Gerald Poyo’s Latino History course and graduate assistants.
