The Butter Krust factory on Broadway shut down in 1997, but Butter Krust products are still in production. The company was purchased by Flower Foods/Nature’s Own and Butter Krust moved its operations to a factory on Loop 410 on San Antonio’s northeast side.
In 1968, the Richter family helped fund a math and engineering building at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, TX. The building, which was named in honor of the family, is still in use today.
Members of the Richter family owned this café in Spring Branch, TX which is still in operation. The interior is decorated with lots of Butter Krust memorabilia.
