Loved reading this. My mother, who passed away last year, was actively involved in Metro Alliance in San Antonio in my youth. I remember hearing Ernie’s name mentioned over and over but, because I was so young at the time, I couldn’t recall what he looked like and was curious. My mom had Henry Cisneros over to our house for a drainage meeting around the Edison HS area one time and we have photos of this, but I am always looking for more insight into this time of my mother’s life, especially now with her passing, to try and get to know her better. This helped to read about it and helped me recall some of the things I heard my mama tell me.
