Stinson Field has been an important part of San Antonio for over 100 years. Now that you have reached the end of this lesson, think of how much you’ve learned about Stinson Field’s early history as a flight school? Wasn’t it crazy that Stinson Field was so useful for training pilots during World War I and World War II? Personally, I’m proud to know more about the lives of three influential San Antonians – siblings Katherine, Marjorie, and Eddie Stinson – and I hope you are too!

Just like Katherine, Marjorie, and Eddie taught flying lessons at Stinson Field, you can also learn to fly there today, all while learning about the science of aviation!
